Army Pfc. William J. Winchester, killed during the Korean War, was accounted for Sept. 10, 2019.

In late 1950, Winchester was a member of Company D, 1st Battalion, 24th Infantry Regiment, 25th Infantry Division. He was captured by the Chinese People’s Volunteer Forces in November 1950 during combat operations in the vicinity of Unsan, North Korea. He was reported to have died in February 1950, while in enemy custody.
